anko

anko keeps your settings in your browser's local storage. this never leaves your device and we cannot read it from our server. it includes:

• your theme, background, particles and debug toggles
• your tab cloak choice and preferred search engine
• your proxy backend choice (ultraviolet or scramjet)
• music volume, autoplay preference and your recently played tracks
• your stratus api settings, if you have configured any
• a random id (anko-user-id) used only to count how many people are online

clearing your browser data removes all of it. we have no way to recover it or link it to you.

we do not use accounts, we do not set cookies, and we do not keep a profile on you.

• play counts — one number per game, for example "sets/Abandoned.html": 1. it records that a game was opened, not who opened it.
• your ip address, briefly — held in memory only, to rate limit requests and cap connections per address. it is not written to disk and is discarded automatically.
• a short-lived proxy token — your ip is put through a one-way signature so the token can be verified later. the address itself is never stored.

we do not sell or share any of this, because there is nothing to sell.

anko uses google analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages get used. it is operated by google and sets its own identifiers.

we show ads through adsterra. adsterra and its advertisers may set cookies or similar identifiers to select and measure ads, including ads that open in a new window. this happens inside their scripts and we do not receive that data.

we do not control what these third parties collect; their own policies apply. an ad blocker will stop them, and the site is built to work normally without them.

when you use the anko browser, your traffic is relayed through our server to the site you asked for. we do not log the pages you visit. the destination site still sees a connection and applies its own tracking and policies.

games and apps load from our server and from third-party content networks. cloud games run on a third-party streaming provider, and a temporary throwaway account is created there on your behalf. music search and playback are relayed from third-party sources.

anything you do on a site reached through anko is between you and that site.

anko is a games site and we know younger people use it. we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone of any age, because we do not collect personal information at all — there are no accounts, sign-ups or profiles.

the third-party analytics and ad scripts above are the exception and are governed by their own policies. an ad blocker prevents them from loading.

anko is provided free, as is, with no warranty of any kind. it may go down, lose data, or change without notice.

you agree not to attack, overload or attempt to break the service, not to use it to reach anything unlawful, and to follow any rules that apply to you — including your school's or workplace's network policy. using a proxy may breach those rules, and that is your responsibility, not ours.

games, apps and media on anko come from third parties and remain the property of their owners. anko is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
